As a resident of Downtown Charleston, I always hear people looking for local events to attend when the weather starts getting warmer, especially sporting events. Starting April 4th, the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island will be hosting the 42nd annual Family Circle Cup. The tournament will be a weeklong event beginning April 4th and concluding April 12th. Along with the tournament, there will be extra daily events to participate in including Ladies Day Out, Family Weekend, and Happy Hour at Ketel One Racquet Club. With all of these exciting events taking place around the area, every member of the family can get involved! Single tickets for the tournament range from $10 to $80 depending on your seating preference. You have the option of picking the Grounds, Box Seats, Terrace, or Grandstand. Whether you love to watch the match up close and personal or from above, there is a perfect place for you! The twenty-two year old professional tennis player will be competing in the Family Circle Cup not far from her family’s home on Daniel Island. Although she has traveled all over the world playing the sport she loves, there is nothing like coming back home.
