Job Summary-
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling glass products to Auto Insurance Agents, Property Management Companies, Builders/Contractors, Real Estate Agents, Flooring Companies, Government Agencies, etc.
Goals will be achieved through effective time management, strong organization skills and relationship building. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
Job Duties
Responsible for conducting daily face to face sales calls to an assigned territory in the Charleston area.
Educate customers on our company’s products and services and explain the benefits of using a professional glass company.
Build and nurture a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Generate and develop new customer accounts through cold-calling and cultivating relationships through association memberships with local Chamber of Commerce’s and Industry Associations.
Correspond with customers through face to face contact, phones calls, emails and social media outlets.
Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate records; including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, marketing purchases and other documentation.
Participate in Trade Shows, Local Community Events, Fundraisers and Educational Presentations.
Support the marketing department by providing creative ideas to cultivate new target markets in the Charleston area.
Experience and Skills-
Degree in Business, Marketing/Management, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
2-3 years of customer service, retail counter sales or direct sales/marketing experience.
English Speaking, Spanish is a plus.
Professional image, selling style, and appearance.
Self-motivated, with an engaging level of positive enthusiasm.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
High level of integrity and work ethic.
Ability to work individually and as part of a company-wide team.
Excellent listening skills.
Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Must have fun!
Requirements-
Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
Must pass a background check and random drug test.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service with a background in marketing/sales. A positive attitude, self-motivated, professional appearance and good listening skills are a must. This person enjoys meeting new people and networking with other businesses in the community.
